Dean is out of town fishing that weekend - so I say we all go shopping! I've been doing that a little to much latley - but hey - whats another trip!

Life on home front is good - we are so busy with everything right now - i feel the scrapping time slipping away! I will always make time for it - but it seems in the summer - the time doesn't find me as much! My goal is at least 10 layouts a month! If i can do that - i will be happy! We have the walk for Cystic Fibrosis this weekend - should be fun - still worry a little about taking Ethan because there are so many kids with CF that go - but i guess if we are outside we should be fine. Deans brothers band is playing "Vintage Steel" - I will take lots of pictures to share. I was really bad at getting the information out there this year - I didn't advertise well - even to family and friends - feel bad - but it just seems to be soooooo busy around our house these days - just couldnt find the time. Here is another Fancy Pants layout i did last week - I'm just loving all of the new lines! I used alot of paint and rubons - had fun altering all of these stars. All of them are fancy pants but the blue one with the clock - that one is ...........can't remember!

I'm off to bed - feelling a sore throat coming on - i need to get some sleep!!

still can't spill

the news yet - you'll have to be patient! I'm just poppin in to share a few projects - Mother's Day Cards i did the day of.......... leave it to me to wait till the last minute. The You are Special one was chosen as Card of the Day over at SIStv. So exciting! Then the other is a layout i did for the OLW challenge - a Mothers day layout about how crappy of job i feel like i do sometimes - mostly with Ethan the one who has Cystic Fibrosis and needs the most love and attention - gives me the most grief and pushes me to my limits - i feel so bad! But at the end of the day he still says he loves me forever and we wipe the slate clean and start over again. Used lots and lots of Fancy Pants on these projects!

Had a wonderful anniversary weekend with my hubby this last weekend. He booked us a room at the Silver King in Park City - a resort - the rooms were amazing - hot tub and all. We ate at the Baja Cantina (thanks Dustin and Joni for the tips)! We shopped ALOT - my hubby got way more than i did - not right i know - but i guess he needed it. We got Baylee the cutest little pair of Vans - the are black slipons with skulls that have a pink bows on them! Will share a picture soon. Anyways - it was a much needed little vacation and since my Lake Powell trip was cancelled i'm glad i got to go somewhere! Now back to reality - t-ball - sick kids (Ethan has strep - i made him get the Penicilin shot though so he would be better (or not contagious anyways) in 24 hours. He hasn't had any true symptoms though other than his voice sounds funny from the swollen tonsils - no fever or anything! I'm off - thanks for visiting!

going to explode.......

with excitement - i have some awesome wonderful exciting news in the works that i can't wait to share with you - its scrappy related - but have to hold off a little while longer! In the meantime i will share another layout i did with (i can't remember which month) Studio Calico Kit - they are seriously amazing! Sewed the grass and then added flower rubons over top! I know i did the branch/leaf thing just a few layouts ago - but love the outdoorsy feel it gives to a boy layout. If you can't read the journaling - Mason caught this spider IN MY HOUSE - and wanted to build it a home outside - so he made a list on a sticky note (was going to use it on the layout - but couldn't make it work) - so supplies was all his idea.
Hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day - mine was great - Dean let me sleep in and then made us all breakfast - but then of course he had to leave to take care of bishop duties - but it was a nice day - went to both parents house and ate too much food! On the food front - i have lost 20lbs so far - i still can't believe it - i'm hoping to lose 5 more before lake powell next week! Dean has planned a surprise getaway this weekend for our anniversary and i'm sooooooo looking forward to it - he won't tell me where we are going - but i really don't even care!

Here are some pictures me and the boys took over at the vacant school across the street - seriously - mason took most of them - but Ethan took the ones with me and Mason in them! And then of course one of baylee and then all of us - dean didn't really get a good one of the kids and I - but still a great memory of Mothers day!

Crocs......

this is for my friend Carey! I went and visited her in Vegas in January and bought some cute little crocs for baylee and I've been promising pictures since then. She didn't start wearing them till about a month ago but they are so darn CUTE! The little piggy jibbets (not sure if thats what they are called or not) are the cutest. I've never owned a pair myself - but they look super comfy and baylee goes for hers first everytime. I finally got the magnetic board for my scraproom this week - I had my dad come hang it last night while Dean is out of town so it would actually get hung - he's so busy these days - the last thing he wants to do is hang things on my walls and i'm sure as heck not going to be the one to put holes in them so I made my dad do it. I love it - its not quite as big as i'd like but its better than custom making one to the size I want because then it would never get done!

I will leave you with a layout I did a while back - it was actually a OLW challenge but i never got it posted in time. I used the March Kit from Studio Calico - which was amazing! I painted the cream colored self-adhesive decorative ribbon with paint for the corner. I can't wait to get May's in the mail TODAY!! I used up alot of Aprils this past weekend - just not ready to share yet.
by the way - the kids and i are surviving without dean - he comes back tomorrow night and i can't wait - he's never gone for this long - its too long. The kids and i are feeling it - the house is a disaster - and beleive it or not - i havn't scrapped once since he's been gone - all that time to myself at night and i havn't scrapped - must be scrapped out from last weekend - i did watch P.S I love you 2 nights in a row - i LOVED that movie - Carey - not sure if you would LOVE it so be glad we went to Juno then - but it was cute - such a sad story but it was a great chick flick!

I'm back....

Sorry i've been MIA. Life has been crazy around here. After i got my computer back Wednsday night - i had to cram and get ready to go scrapping for the weekend. Spent a few nights printing pictures and journaling. Then we left on Friday morning - it was seriously soooooooo fun! I wish i could do it more than twice a year. We rented 6 movies: Juno, 27 dresses, Tara Road (not so good), Failure to Launch, Dan in Real Life and August Rush. We watched every single one of them while we scrapped. Stayed up till 4:00am friday night then came home at midnight saturday night. I got 6 layouts done (one double) and i was pretty proud of myself. I think thats a record for me - i'm usually 4 or 5. Am pretty happy with most of them- not sure if i'm going to share yet though!

Dean left at 3:00am this morning and headed to Lake Powell for the week so we are going to try and cram as much fun in as we can to pass the time. My sister-in-law Steph watched the kids this morning while i shopped and i will do the same for her on Friday. Then this afternoon we are heading to the dinasuar park.

I resigned from the design team over at the Shaker Box last week. I have been there over 2 years now and just felt it was time for a change. I love every one there and they are an awesome supportive community with great kits! I will still hang around and chat though. I will leave you with a layout I did for the OLW challenge - made it on the slide show. I love jumpstarting a layout with a word - I think it helps me to think outside the box when it comes to what i would initially scrap about! So thanks to them! I also had one of my christmas layouts picked up for the new Holiday idea book for Scrapbook Trends! Yay!

Thanks for stopping by!
