Method Playground is up again

the time just flies by to fast. I can't believe i havn't posted in so long. The vacation threw me off a bit. We had soooooooooooooooo much fun. We were camping in the mountains - but we had grass, water hookups, sewer hookups and power. It made for some really nice camping. We also had miniture golfing and swimming within a few miles. We were right along the snake river. It was running really high though so we couldn't take any of the kids fishing - which was the main reason we went - but we had plenty to do to keep them busy. We even went to Bear World - the kids thought that was great. Baylee did so good - every night i would just lay her in the motorhome with a movie - she would tell me to go away - and she would be asleep by 8:30 or so every night. Some vacations by the end - your ready to come home - ecspecially after 6 days - but we really could have stayed longer.
We went on a little nature hike - every little bit there would be signs with information about the valley you were looking at or about the flowers that were growing. The kids loved it.We found a litltle creek that the kids all cooled off in.My cute mom and dad came up for 4 of the daysThis is the couple we went with. every year since i can remember we have made this an anniversary trip with these 2 and stayed in a cabin thats near the campgrounds - but this year we decided to make it into a family trip - it was well worth it.This is my good friend katie and her cute munchkin gage - she had her work cut out for her with a little guy - it seems she was in the trailor MOST of the time. We made some peanut butter fruit dip at the beginning of the trip - its great with apples and everytime i would go in her trailor we would sneak it out and eat it - we never shared with anyone!
Recipe:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
8 oz cream cheese (i buy the whipped tubs)
about 3 tblsp of milk - just enough to make it creamy.
It really is to die for.......
Thanks for stopping by - even though my posts have been so few and far between. We are going camping AGAIN this weekend for the fourth - sooooo........hope you all have a fabulous holiday weekend.

Here is my Method Playground layout: I used Lily Bee paper and rubons - Lily Bee is giving away a prize to the winner - so make sure you head over and join in the challenge. The guest designer this time around is one of my faves - Staci Taylor - love her to pieces! She's so talented and such a sweetheart. The challenge was to use a chipboard element as a stencil for hand stitching. I layed these Scenic Route Circles and traced half circles around the project and a smaller circle in the left corner. So fun.

Fancy Pants projects........

Jodi asked me to do a few projects this month for a Craft show.....I took the shadow box and the Canvas - 2 things that i didn't have alot of experience with. It was so fun. Here is what i did, I made the Canvas for Baylee's room adn the shadow box will go in my room. Go here to see what product i used for the Shadow Box and here for the Canvas - sorry i don't have alot of time right now........leaving to go camping tomorrow morning and we are scrambling! I actually even have typed up instructions if anyone is interested i would be happy to email them over.

The class for Pink Paislee went great today - i was so nervous i got a huge knot in the back of my neck - still there.......but i think it went well. When i get back in town i will post more info on the retreat and pictures of the entire Album. We all had alot of fun and I met some wonderful ladies.

Also just wanted to mention a fun giveaway over on the Lily Bee BLog - go check it out - you have till Tuesday night i think.

Method Playground challenge!

another challenge up at Method Playground. It was to use tissue paper or tissue or napkins or anything of that kind on your layout! I took the simple route and used the white shiney tissue paper as a ruffle. I like the look - i sewed it down with some sheer ribbon over top. Go check out the MP BLog to see what the other girls did this week.

The chipboard (not the heart), rubon's and the paper are all from GCD Studios. This is when i was struggling whether or not to take the binki away from baylee..........she kept it for another 8 months after this picture! I really really love those Heidi Swapp chipboard shapes that have the resist designs. On this i used some metalic rub on chalk. But the Chalk ink works great too.

In my world............i just can't seem to get on top of things. I finally completed my mortgages courses and passed the exam with an 89.9%! Was pretty happy to get that out of the way - it has seriously consumed the last 2 weeks. I even had sitters over here during day so i could take some of the classes. but yay! I'm done! I went to the dr today and i have ANOTHER cyst. He just removed one in May. So the next step i guess besides removing the only ovary i have left - which i'm not ready for is to try a med called Lupron - its supposed to put my ovary to sleep - will cause menapausel side affects - nice. But worth a try. So we will see how that goes.

I'm heading to the Memory Works Retreat tomorrow. I'm so excited to go and nervous to teach - at least i will get to attend a few classes before i teach mine to get an idea of how it works. Wish me luck! Then Sunday we are off to Idaho for a week to go camping! I'm so looking forward to getting away with my family. The kids are going to love it. Summer has kept me away from the scrapping world - i feel out of touch - havn't posted much on any boards or followed any blogs - so for those of you out there that still read mine - thanks! And hopefullly i will be back at it after this trip!

Hugs!

our favorite place.............

This is where we love to hang out in the summertime. Years and years ago - before i was around - my grandfather bought this land - up Weber canyon past Causey Damn - a place called Beaver Creek. Its about 10 acres - and its beautiful. We've gone up there since i was a kid. After my grandpa died when i was 13 my dad inherited the land with his sister and brother - who don't use it much. But its turned into a second home for my parents when the weather allows. We also bought (he put my name on it) the land right next to it when it came up for sell. Over the years he's planted grass and made a big fire pit. Put in a sandbox and swingset when the grandkids came along and this last year put in fish pond. What kid wouldn't love being in nature but also having fun things to do while there! So we try to as much as we can - its so peaceful and beautiful there. I love it. So we went up on Monday around 3:00 and stayed till dark. We rode motorcycles (Mason had a scary wreck - almost ended up in the creek -but luckily came out with only a few scratches), played at the playground, roasted marshmallows, caught fish and bbqed some hot dogs! So fun. Just wanted to share a few pics before i start my online mortgage class - i again - waited for the last minute to do my 14 credit hours to update my mortgage liscense so i've got 2 weeks to get it all in to renew. So thats what my evenings are going to consist of for a bit. I got the flu bug from Baylee to so not feeling to well - hopefully i can make through without falling asleep!

loving me some Lily Bee......

just wanted to share a layout i did for the Lily Bee blog the other day - i just can't get enough of it - and the rubons are the best. THey announced the winner of the mini album contest today here - go check out the 3 winners - they did amazing things. I did french knots in the ribbon on the bottom - took me forever - but like the way it turned out.

Well - my baby girl - is STILL sick - its killing me - she wants me to hold her ALL day long. And its so sad - mommy is just mommied out. My poor boys are thinking summer is just not so fun right now. Hopefully we can get to a schedule and have some fun next week.

So my Pink Paislee class for the Memory Works retreat is coming up in less than two weeks! I'm kinda freakin out. I'm really excited to be working with 2 amazing companies - and the other sponsers and teachers that are going to be there are amazing too - i'm going to be in good company!

Last but not least i got my new Kraft Kuts from Fancy Pants this last weekend - they had a new release a few weeks ago - they are amazing - i love every thing about them - and they were designed by Jodi Sandford - she did an awesome job!

Off to watch a movie with hubs - not sure which one yet. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Here is some GCD goodness. This layout is mostly using the Margarita line - but there are some mixed in goodies too. Its about my sister -in - law Wendy and her 2 girls! Love the bright colors! Mason taking a bath in the river after getting his hair cut. The duck/frog paper is from Chic Bebe. Die cut journaling spot and sun rubon is GCD also.
This layout has Chic Bebe (trucks and yellow) and the brown dot is from Debonair. Chipboard, Diecuts and Epoxy stickers are all GCD too!
Sorry this is short and sweet - i've got a sick baby girl on my lap that has been throwing up and has fever - she's not liking me being here - so i will be back for more in a few days.

Lily Bee........

Just wanted to share a layout i did last week with Lily Bee product - the rubons are seriously too die for. I love this picture that my dad took over Mothers day - the colors went perfect with the paper too! For some reason the background looks light blue - but its really a cream color. Used the diecuts, die cut frame and am paper from both lines.
We had the Great Strides walk on Saturday to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis - i did really bad at letting friends and family know - but we did have support for team Ethan. Then we took the kids (my sister and her kids and my parents) to the dinasaur park. It was a long hot day.... they loved it though! This is dean and his cousin casey in the back with the kids
My cute preggo sister and the green and my mom and dad. Ethan is on Dean's shoulders in the back - he had a tummy ache most of the time.

Baylee at the dinasuar park (she loved this cute little purple dinasuar - such a girl!)Love this cute picture of my dad and Baylee - only grand daughter - unless my sister can step it up and pop out number 4 in the future and get a girl. The one coming is another boy!Baylee and I - see i was there - just never in the pictures!Ethan and his cousin Cord (red hat)Ethan, Cord and MasonCHris pushing Bridger in the swing - so cute when you can get emotion from this little guy - ecpecially laughter - he's dealing with some behavioral and social problems. They say they think it is PDD which is prevasive developmental disorder i think. Its in the same family as autism but down the spectrum a ways. Pretty much treated the same way - right now she has him in some early intervention classes and is trying to change up his diet to see if that helps in any way. If your interested at all - you can read this post - it kinda gives more detail on what they are trying. He turned 2 in January. So i get my new bedroom set delivered TOMORROW and i can't wait. I'll share pictures. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find comforters and bedspreads online. I've looked at all the basic places, JC penny, dillards, sears, Macy's, Kohls, Pottery Barn - and beleive it or not - i havn't found Anything i LOVE - so if you know of somewhere that has different/unique bedding - link me up please. Im going to have this great bedroom with no bedding or decor - because i don't know the colors yet.

Check back in a few days too - i've been hoarding quite a few GCD layouts i need to share. Kim Hughes is the Guest Designer this month - check out the great cards she made with the GCD product. Love her cards! Well - i just love her.............
