Pioneer day

Just a quick post to share the pictures from todays parade and say how proud i am to have been able be a part of it. Our float won the Grand Marshall award (1st) out of 122 entries. This is Ethan.

This is the commitee that put it together: Trent, Sherrie, Me, Eddie, Chris and Casey All the kids that rode on the float - my 2 boys have the black hats on. Thats my big honkin 4ft layout that says memories - the picture is a school picture of my Great grandpa.
The Heritage layout in the front is of my GREAT GREAT grandfather, the other picture you can't see is of him in a buggy and carriage on his mission
all the kiddos in the wagon
front angle - that 2ft layout with the tree was my favorite - the picture is my great grandma and her brother when she was a toddler
me and the boys
back angle
the whole thing - if you can't tell - the wagon is inteded to look like its coming out of the history book.
so thats it - all the stress was definatley worth it. But i'm sure glad its over. Thanks for peeking. Have a good weekend!

Baylee's Birthday

first of all i better just let you know i havn't heard from the winner of the RAK - i have no way of getting a hold of her - if you know her - tell her she won. If i havn't heard from her by Friday - will be announcing a new winner! So you still just might have a chance to win!
This is princess Baylee! Can't beleive she is 2!
SHe looks like she's going cross eyed from staring at this cupcake!Opening presents! She really got into - had a lot of help too!Trying to help everyone put her new bike togetherThis is her I'm cool face - i LOVE IT - she loves her new bike.

It was so fun and sad at the same time - where she's my last i just hate to see her grow up. But i'm telling ya - the girl thing is so much fun! I loved shopping for her and looking at all the fun things that i used to know growing up!

So i am happy to report - I am DONE with the float layouts - last night i finally finished them up and i am so happy i can't even stand it - i don't think i've been that stressed in such a long time. My poor kids got the grunt of it too - sooooooooo time consuming. Even when i wasnt doing it - i was thinking about it. So needless to say - i have done absolutley nothing today and have loved every minute of it - the kids played in the sprinklers and on the slip and slide - didn't even get my camera out - to much work! So i will take pictures of the float tomorrow - the boys will be riding on it and i will show pictures. We are also heading to Lagoon on friday so it will probably be saturday or monday before i get them up!

a few more sneak peeks

before the big day! Finished up this mini album - which i think is one of my favorite projects to date -but i used the new clear and chipboard mix and match diecut shapes to make it - made it easy to put together. The paper is from the new line called DAily Grind which i think is my fave out of all 3!! So fun! Gotta run but hope you enjoy the peeks!!

Well- I guess i can spill the beans now......... Fancy Pants has invited me to join their new Design Team! I'm pretty dang excited about it! I have a few projects to share with the new product for the show.
This one is a mixture of mostly the Daily Grind line (papers) and all of the buttons and chipboard elements are from the Happy Holiday line! So fun to work with.

Isn't he the cutest. This is my nephew last chirstmas. This is all the Happy Holiday line except for the background paper is from the All Fall line.

So head over to the Fancy Pants Gallery to check out some of what the other girls did with the new product!

One more exciting thing - had my first layout picked up for the fall issue of Scrapbook & Cards today. So excited about that!!

It was Baylee's birthday yesterday - so when i get a minute i will post some pictures of her - it was so fun to have a princess party! Loved it!

yay!!

so i did my first challenge over at the BHG Scrapbooks Ect. Ultimate summer challenge this last week - it wast to put 8 or more photos on a layout - i managed to cram 8 and there! I made it to the top 10 finalists! So if you love me enough - you can help a girl out and go vote for my layout Poppy's in Bloom . My BIL Brad and his family live in Mantua - its perfect - like its in the mountains but not to far in the mountains. Every time we go up there for Sunday dinner we go for a long walk with the kids - this time we went down to the campgrounds that aren't to far away and there is this field full of beautiful poppy's - so i took advantage and took lots of pictures. It was so fun - and the kids loved it.

going to scrapbook with some friends this weekend while Dean takes the boys fishing in Idaho! Need some down time here - can't wait!

4th of July Pictures

Hey friends - sorry i've been mia for so long. The summer is getting the best of me - we are so dang busy. I don't even have any layouts to share. I do have some fun news - my layout from my previous post was on the slideshow on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog - exciting.

We had a great weekend. We skipped the festivities here in PLain City and went up to my parents property and camped for the weekend. Loved every minute of it and the kids had so much fun. I will post again soon but i will just leave you with these pictures today of our trip. I am on the committee for our Stake Float for the 24th of July parade and its soooo stressing me out! I have to make 2 scrapbook layouts that are 5 1/2 feet tall - uuummm - can't even imagine it - but we are getting down to the wire and i need to get my butt to work - so if you have any bright ideas - please fill me in!
Every one enjoying a steak dinner - my dad put a swing set/slide and sandbox up there for the kids. Baylee would swing all day if i would stand there and push her!

Speaks for itself - she's lovin the cornWhen Baylee napped - i got out my ipod and cross stitch and enjoyed the quiet! The boys doing some EXTREME bike riding down the hill!Mason went for a 3 wheeler ride with Dean and came back with this beautiful boquet of flowers for me!My dad built a pond up there and planted fish this last weekend - the boys and thier attempt at chatching them. They both reeled in a few and Dean and i also caught a few. It was all buddy could do not to jump in and catch one himself!

You have to go check out this great photography site - if you go to galleries - baylee is the first baby picture - black and white - leaning on an angle - but she does a great job. She has grown so much in her business since this picture - check out all of her stuff! You'll love it! Kellie Hales Photography
