do you beleive it!

I'm posting twice in the same week! Just wanted to share a layout i did yesterday. I seriously had so much fun doing it. I have been wanting to get a little more into stamping so i ordered a whole lot of stamp pads and stamp sets from my cousing Brandy Jo who is a consultant for CTMH. I was inspired by a layout that was in Scrapbook & Cards Today in the Spring '08 issue my friend Kim Hughes gave me. It was by Lesley Langdon on page 30 and she had created a frame with stamps. Then i read the Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog and they are doing a challenge to lift any layout from any previous SC&T issue! Sooooooo i pushed my self and did it. Loved using the water color pencils - they are so fun. I used alot of product from the Daydream line from Fancy Pants Designs and the some random product from other great companies! The stamps are, CTMH, Fancy Pants, Making Memories and Autumn Leaves! Thanks for taking a look. I absolutly love baylee's cheesy smile in this picture!

fishing.......

Dean and I got to take a day to ourselves yesterday and go fly fishing with another couple ALL DAY! It seriously was so relaxing and soooooo fun. We didn't catch many fish - but i didn't care. There were times i put the ipod in and laid on the back of the boat while the others fished. A much needed day for mommy! You can't see the boat and lake in the background because it was already dark. I hate the picture of me because i have a goofy smile and HOT PINK fingernails - dean snapped the picture as the fish squirmed right out of my hands and into the lake (all catch and release). So just wanted to pop in and share a few pictures

and all of the goodies Laura Vegas sent me from a contest I won on her blog a few weeks ago. I am in Making Memories Heaven. I think i seriously got EVERYthing in the new passport line. I don't know why this picture keeps turning sideways when i instert - but you get the idea! So fun. So thanks so much Laura - and i can't wait to see the Layout you create with the pictures i sent. Hope to get some scrappin time in this week - kinda hard with the summer fun though.

its finally here......

the summer is here and we can play! Finally - its been super nice out - not to hot and the kids LOVE it. I took the kids to Target yesterday and we bought a pool and a slip and slide. They had so much fun. Here are some pics of them relaxing after eating a popsicle!

Dean is at youth conference this weekend - so the kids and i played all day at a friends house. They played out side all morning - then we let the babies nap and then we bbq tonight I'm soooooooooo tired. I'm going to go watch Fools Gold - chick flick that i know dean will never watch. So I decided I'd be tough and up my weights at body pump on Wednsday and i seriously CANNOT move - never been so sore in my life. I think i'll take it back down a notch again - i'm just not tough! Trying to keep up with Bobbie and Steph just isn't going to happen. I am happy to report i've lost 27lbs to date. I still can't beleive it - not alot of excercise either - just body pump 2x a week. Just totally cutting portions and kinda following weight watchers point system. Its working for me.

Scrapped a little last night and made a huge mess on my desk - not sure that i will be able to find the bottom of this one - BIG MESS> But that layout turned out okay. That blue color again - seriously LOVE IT. Used a huge mixture of product on this one. Hambly, American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey, Making Memories and My Minds Eye. Did some hand stitching - lots of fun.

trying something different with picture placement so i'm not hogging so much room on one post - but as you can tell I can't figure it out!! So back to the old way next time.

Happy Fathers Day

Just wanted to pop in and give a tribute to my dad! He's such a great guy and would drop anything for me or my sister. Love him so much. I did this layout for the Sisaversary online crop over at SIStv . challenge was to do a layout about an important man in our lives. I really suck at online crops - i seriously only got 2 layouts done the entire weekend and really was only happy with this one. I am just not a fast scrapper. But i have a list of challenges now that i will still use and get some great layouts done!
I white wased the cardstock with 2 different colored paints - then placed the patterned paper on top and traced where the circles would be if was the entire sheet of PP - then i stitched the circles with the sewing machine and glued the PP over top where it connects with the other circles - okay that didn't make alot of sense - but you get the idea!

And i totally forgot to share this to die for Apron that Dean got me for mothers day - he got 2 different ones for my mom and his - but i LOVE it! He got them from a lady that lives by us but she orders them for Jessie Steele - you have to check out this website.

We aren't going to church today because the kiddos are sick - but are going to dinner at my parents and hoping to take some great pictures - i love my parents backyard and its finally going to be nice today - so i will post pictures of Dean with the kids later. BYE!

where is the summer??

It is still so cold here - seems like the last week there has been one storm after another. Hoping today was the last of them. Had a pretty good week - went to park city Fathers Day shopping - my sister in law steph and bobbie - we had 8 kids under the age of 7 - needless to say we didn't get to much accomplished - but we did get what we went for. These in-ear headphones from BOSE - supposed to be amazing sound and blocks out other noise while riding and running (which i'm not sure is such a great idea) - but he really wanted them - so thats what he got.

Then today took Ethan to the dr. because his voice sounded funny again - and i just knew it was strep - so this is the 5th time since January - so we are going to get his tonsils out. Poor little dude - i think it will benefit him though. Mason had his out when he was 3 and it made a big difference. I'm going to try and hold out till after our camping trip over the 4th - we'll see.

On a scrappy note - hit the Warehouse sale for Fancy Pants Designs last weekend and it was pretty darn good. I won't even tell you how much i bought -but the prices were AMAZING!! And it was alot of the most recent lines too - and some older stuff that i didnt have and loved. sooooooo i stocked up!

Also - i was pretty excited to see my layout (You are my World) - in my last post as Page of the day over at the Creating Keepsakes Blog on 6/4 - you have to scroll down to see it - but it put a smile on my face! And this layout that was chosen as layout of the day over at SIStv on 6/2.

One last layout i did for the OLW challenge Blog - its their 1st birthday and they are having lots of prizes this time - 7 winners i think - you have till friday and the word is ONE!

Loved these hambly overlays - so cool!

OKay i swear this is the last exciting thing for me - i shouldn't go so long between posts and then they wouldn't be so dang long! Sorry - but check this out! I am a dang lucky guesser - Laura Vegas was having a contest on her blog to guess how many thingies of thread were in a jar - i was only 1 away! So that means she is doing a layout for me and I also won the new Passport Collection from Making Memories! Yay! So now i need to pick some great pictures and get them to her so she can get started! I had a lucky week! (other than Ethan getting sick)!

Happy June

you wouldn't know it was june - its been raining all day and its only 60 degrees. But i guess i will take that over 90 degree weather. I'm trying my hardest to have some structure to our summer so we don't all go crazy and drive eachother nuts! But rainy days = movies and video games - so thats what they did while baylee napped and i scrapped a little. When baylee is awake i can't even step foot in my office without her throwing a fit sooooooo nappy time is my only time till after bed. I did a few challenges in one layout today. I wanted to be able to get a layout done fast - and that means going to find inspiration. So i did the Method Playground challenge of creating your own background by stamping - and then used the most recent sketch from Pencil Lines. Here is what i came up with! I painted the background white - stamped it then added orange chalk in certain spots to add a little flair.

The walk went great - we had alot of support - i will have to post pictures in the next few days. I'm thankful everyday for the people who support cystic fibrosis and for how far they have come with the research! My friend Carey from Vegas was down for the weekend for her little guys quarterly checkup at primary childrens hospital and i was able to sneek away and see her for a little while - miss her so much! Glad i was able to spend some time with her -i'm definatley going to have to go back to Vegas soon.

Off to the grocery store - thanks for stopping by!
